Crochet Basics:
To crochet you will need a hook and yarn.
Slip knot:
Every time you crochet you will use a slip knot before you start. Pull out a few inches of yarn. Wrap the yarn around two fingers, pull the yarn through the loop you made on your fingers and pull tight. A knot with a loop should have formed. Put this on your hook and pull the tail.
Chain (ch):
Start by doing a slip knot. Next yarn over and pull the yarn through the loop on your hook. You've made one chain.
Single Crochet (sc):
Go into a stitch, Yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch on your hook, yarn over, and pull through both loops on your hook.
